Nail Art | Golden stamped roses.

¡Hola a todos!

¡Ya estoy otra vez aquí, haha! Espero que hayáis pasado un muy buen fin de semana, el mío la verdad es que se ha hecho cortísimo, necesitamos un día entre sábado y domingo ¿verdad? :P. Pero muchos ánimos, que superado el lunes superada la semana y no hay mejor manera de alegrarse que ver nail arts o hacerse una buena manicura. Yo hoy os enseño una mani con un color que me encanta para otoño e invierno, espero que os guste.

Here I am again, haha! I hope you had an amazing weekend, mine was super short, we need a day between saturday and sunday don't you think? :P. But cheer up! Once you get over monday you'll defeat the entire week! And there's no better way to cheer up a little than seen nail art or doing yourself a mani. So today I'm showing you a nail art with a colour that I love for autumn and winter, hope you like it!

¿Os gusta este tono morado agranatado? Para esta época me encanta llevar colores así en las uñas y en los labios, quedan super elegantes y desde luego no pasan desapercibidos ;). Éste es uno de mis favoritos, se trata del 809 Dahlia Purple de los Quick dry de Kiko. Lo tengo desde hace un par de años y siempre siempre recurro a él, se aplica perfectamente con su brocha ancha y con dos capas estamos listas.

Do you like this wine purple? I love wearing shades like this one on my nails and lips when the weather is colder, I think they look super elegant and don't ever go unnoticed ;). This is one of my favourites, it's 809 Dahlia Purple of the Quick dry range from Kiko. I had it from a few years now and I always go back to it. It applies wonderfully with its wide brush and with two coats we will be ready!

Para mi gusto este tipo de colores quedan genial con tonos dorados, así que pensé varias formas de combinar los colores y decidí quedarme con dos ideas: estampación y brillantes. Hace unas semanas recibí un paquete de Born Pretty Store con un montón de cositas entre ellas unas placas preciosas y me pudo el ansia de estrenar una de ellas lleno de estampados de rosas. La veréis a continuación.

From my point of view these colours match with golden shades perfectly, so I thought some ways of mixing them together and I chose two of my ideas: stamping and some rhinestones. A few weeks ago I recieved a nailmail from Born Pretty Store with lots of nail goodies, among them there was some beautiful stamping plates and I had to use one that had different patters of roses. In the next photo you'll see it.

¿No es preciosa? Al final me decidí por el diseño que veis a la derecha, unas rosas con hojitas. Para ello tras poner la base utilicé el esmalte dorado que os enseño en la foto para esparcirlo por el diseño y cogerlo después con el estampador. Su nombre es Golden Queen y es de Colour Alike, la verdad es que para una novata de la estampación cómo yo va perfectísimo y lo podéis encontrar a un precio muy económico junto a otros esmaltes de estampar en la web de ELYT. Recordad que podéis usar nuestro código NAILAVENGERS para un 10% de descuento en cualquier compra :).
Para acabar usé tres brillantes doraditos en las dos uñas restantes, son chiquititos de estos que vienen en una rueda con muchos colores y creo recordar que también eran de Born Pretty Store, allí encontraréis muchas diferentes. Lo sellamos todo con nuestro top coat favorito y ¡ya estamos!.

Isn't it beautiful? I finally chose the design you can see on the right, some roses with leaves. After applying two coats of the base I used the golden stamping polish on the photo to pick up the design. It's name is Golden Queen and it's from Colour Alike, I've to say that for a stamping newbie like me it works perfectly! And you can also find it for a very reasonable price on ELYT store. Last but not least I used some golden rhinestones, they are pretty little and they come on one of those wheels with lots of different colours, you can find this one and many others on Born Pretty Store. To finish and seal the nail art use your favourite top coat and we are done!

Nail Art | Autumnal bird feathers.

¿Qué tal habéis pasado este fin de semana tan terrorífico? Espero que genial y que vuestras uñas hayan sido las protagonistas junto a vuestros disfraces ;). Lo que más me gusta del otoño y del invierno, además de la lluvia, es que volvemos a rescatar los colores oscuros y los marrones. Con el nail art de hoy os enseño una propuesta con un tono marrón muy especial.

How did you spent this last spooky weekend? I hope you had an amazing time and your nails were as spooky as your costume ;). The thing I love the most about autumn and winter, besides the rain, it's that you wear more dark colours and brown shades. On today's nail art I will show you a beautiful design with a very special brown.

¿No os parece precioso este marrón metálico con shimmer holográfico? A la luz es una verdadera pasada y además queda super elegante. Podemos combinarlo con todo tipo de colores, desde rojo, pasando por negro e incluso como yo he hecho: con un gris.

Don't you think that this metallic brown with holo shimmer is beautiful? When light or sun touches it, it has amazing reflections and it's super elegant. We can combine it with lots of colours, from red or black to a cool grey like I've done.

Pero desde luego el segundo centro de atención de este nail art son las preciosas plumas que he puesto sobre el gris. Son de un pack de waterdecals que vais a ver abajo que trae plumas de diferentes tonalidades y colores. Para que siguiese una misma línea escogí las plumas que tiraban a marrón o rojizas, así le di al nail art un aire más otoñal.

But another thing that you'll see as soon as you watch this nail art are the gorgeous feathers that I placed over the grey. They're from a pack of waterdecals that you would see above, it has different coloured and shaped feathers. I decided to use the ones that were reddish or brown to give the nail art a more autumnal look.

Colocar unas waterdecals o pegatinas al agua es facilísimo. Primero debemos recortar la que más nos guste, despegar el plastiquito protector y sumergirla de 10 a 15 segundos en agua. Cuando el tiempo haya transcurrido empujamos con delicadeza el dibujo del cartón con los dedos y lo colocamos en nuestras uñas. Secamos la uña con un papel o trapito y para que nos dure más aplicamos top coat. ¿Facilísimo eh?
Por último os voy a mencionar los esmaltes que he usado. El precioso marrón es 498 y el gris es el 490 ambos de la colección PZN de Colour Alike, una colección perfecta para el otoño. Podéis encontrar estos esmaltes y también las waterdecal en ELYT, además si usáis nuestro código NAILAVENGERS os harán un 10% de descuento en todas vuestras compras ;).

Use waterdecals is super easy. First of all we have to cut out the one that we want, remove the protector plastic and immerse the decal from 10 to 15 seconds in water. It will be ready when you can push the design with your fingers from the cardboard, then place it on your nail. With the help of a napkin or a cloth dry the decal on your nail, then apply your favourite top coat to make it last. Easy, right?
Finally I'm gonna mention the nail polishes I've used. The beautiful brown is the number 498 and the grey the 490, both from the PZN collection from Colour Alike, an amazing collection for autumn. Halloween Nails 2015 | Snoopy's Great Pumpkin.

Nueva semana de octubre lo que significa nuevo tema en el reto de Halloween organizado por Marta ^_^. ¡El tercer tema en el cual debemos inspirarnos son las calabazas! Es inevitable asociarlas con estas fechas, y a pesar de que nunca he tallado una, seguro que es divertidísimo darle todas esas formas y dibujos. En mi campo de calabazas se ha colado un amiguito que seguro que reconoceréis, ¿Os quedáis a verlo?

Hi everyone!

New week of october, it means that we have a new theme for the Halloween challenge Marta organised ^_^. The third inspirational theme we have is pumpkins! We can't avoid thinking of them when we know halloween is coming, and even thought I've never carved a pumpking I'm sure it has to be super funny! A little well-known friend has sneaked in my pumpkin field, would you like to see it?

¡Mirad a Snoopy encima de la calabaza tallada! ¿No os parece gracioso? Cuando empecé a pensar sobre este tema para hacer nail art varias ideas vinieron a mi cabeza pero no podía sacarme la idea de que tenía que hacer algo relacionado con Charlie Brown, pues no paraba de recordar el especial animado que hicieron llamado: Es la Gran Calabaza, Charlie Brown.

Look at snoopy over the carved pumpkin! Don't you think he is super cute? When I started to plan this nail art I had some ideas on my mind but I couldn't stop thinking about doing something related with Peanuts. I couldn't stop remembering the animated television special they did called: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown.

Es una película animada ideal para ver en estas fechas, pues toda la pandilla se prepara para Halloween. Al principio quería dibujar a todos junto al campo de calabazas, pero estos días he estado un poco chof y me apetecía algo más sencillo sin dejar de hacer free hand. Así que el primer paso fue, tras dar dos capas con el esmalte violeta (497 PZN collection de Colour Alike), llenar mis uñas de calabazas, para ello usé el esmalte Papa don't Peach de Catrice, un tono naranja amelocotonado.

It's an animated film perfect for the season, all the gang gets ready for Halloween. At the beginning I wanted to draw each one of them on the pumpkin field, but I didn't felt very well these past days and I wanted something easier, but free handed. The first thing I did after giving my nails two coats with the purple nail polish, (497 PZN collection from Colour Alike) was to fill my nails with pumpkins using the nail polish Papa don't Peach from Catrice, a peachy orange shade.

Añadí los detalles de las calabazas con pintura acrílica y un pincel bien finito, jugando con los diferentes tonos de naranja para crear un poco de volumen y finalmente delineando todo con negro. Para la calabaza dónde está tumbado Snoopy decidí cambiar el diseño y hacerla tallada. Finalmente dibujé a Snoopy con pintura acrílica blanca y negra, dejé secar el diseño y lo sellé con mi top coat favorito: Poshé.

Me he animado a haceros mi primera macro tras los consejos que Judy me dio, y a pesar de que tengo mucho que mejorar estoy muy contenta. ¿Qué os ha parecido? ¿Habéis visto está animación de Peanuts? ¿Os gusta Snoopy?. El próximo miércoles volvemos a tener un nail art de calabazas, seguro que María nos sorprende ;). Espero que tengáis una buena semana.

I added the details to the pumpkins with acrylic paints and a very thin brush, playing with the different shades of orange to give it some volume and finally outline everything with black. For the pumpkin where Snoopy is laying I decided to change the design and draw it like it was carved. To end the nail art I draw the little Snoopy with white and black acrylic paint, let the design dry and aplied my favourite top coat Poshé.

After some advice of how to do macros from Judy, I decided to try and do my first one. I have a lot to improve but I'm very happy of the final result. What do you think about it? Halloween Nails 2015 | Elphaba got her nails done.

Hace relativamente pocos días las Nail Avengers decidimos apuntarnos al reto Halloween Nails 2015 que ha organizado Marta. Nuestro primer reto juntas, y la verdad es que nos hace mucha ilusión ♥. Cada semana hay una nueva temática hasta el día de Halloween, y esa misma semana habrá tres propuestas diferentes. El tema para nuestras uñas esta semana es brujas, espero que estéis preparados para algunos nail arts espeluznantes haha.

A few days ago Nail Avengers decided to join the Halloween Nails 2015 challenge that Marta organised. It's our first challenge together, and we're super excited to share our nails with you ♥. Each week there will be a new theme until the Halloween day, and each week you'll have three different nail arts. For the first week the theme is witches, so I hope you're ready for some spooky nails, haha.

¿Qué pasa cuando Elphaba, la bruja de Wicked (O la de Mago de Oz) va a que le pinten las uñas? Pues estoy segura de que pide que le hagan un nail art así, sencillo pero que vaya con su personalidad. No hay nada que quede mejor con una piel de bruja verde que un esmalte negro, pero todas sabemos que hay que ser un poco más original, por eso se ha atrevido con un degradado de verde lima a negro, con un toque de glitter verde.

Do you know what happens when Elphaba, the witch from Wicked (or the Wizard of Oz) goes to have her nails done? I'm pretty sure that she asks for a nail art like this one, simple but that goes with her personality. There's nothing like black nail polish for a witch with a green skin, but some of us like to be a little more original than plain nail polish. That's why she went for a lime green to black gradient with a touch of green glitter.

Me ha contado que se quedó con todos los detalles mientras le hacían el nail art, para después poder recrearlo ella en casita. Los tres esmaltes que usaron para el degradado fueron: Mojito de Ciaté, 496 de la colección PZN de Colour Alike, y el Kind of Black de Colour Alike también. Tras pintar todas sus uñas con el verde lima pusieron los tres colores en ese orden en una esponjita de maquillaje y dieron toques suaves encima.

She told me that she paid atention to every detail while they painted her nails, that way she could recreate it with her own polishes at home. The polishes they used to do the gradient are: Mojito from Ciaté, 496 of the PZN collection from Colour Alike and Kind of Black from Colour Alike. After painting all her nails with the lime green, they put the three colours over a make up sponge and dabbed lightly over her nails.

Finalmente añadieron el glitter que veis en la foto desordenadamente sobre la punta de las uñas, dónde quedaba el negro del degradado, para darle un aspecto más brillante y mágico. Le encantó tanto que se llevó el glitter a casa para descubrir dónde más podía utilizarlo. ¡Por cierto! Un detalle muy muy importante con el que se quedó es aplicar top coat después del degradado y del glitter, así hacemos el nail art más duradero y el glitter quedará integrado con el resto.

Finally they added the green glitter you can see on the photo, they did it in a messy way on the tip of the nails, where the black of the gradient is. It gives it a shiny and magical look, don't you think? She loved it so much that she took the glitter home to discover where could be used. By the way, a very very important detail that she remembered... You have to apply top coat after the gradient and the glitter to make the nail art last longer, and also to settle in the glitter with the rest.

Nail art | Vampy roses.

Me presento, me llamo Laura, vivo en Barcelona y soy la nail artist detrás del blog Wicked Fullmoon. Soy diseñadora gráfica, me encanta muchísimo el ámbito del diseño web y la ilustración. Soy adicta al café y al chocolate, y a muchas otras cosas como los videojuegos, las películas y series de dibujos...
Pero para conocerme mejor tendréis que ir siguiendo mis nail arts, pues a menudo hago de mis uñas lienzos para dibujar las cosas que me gustan o me representan. Para este primer nail art he decidido usar unos vinilos nuevos en forma de rosa. ¡Vamos a verlos!

I'd like to introduce myself, my name is Laura, I live in Barcelona and I'm the nail artist behind the blog Wicked Fullmoon. I am a graphic designer, my favourite field about it is web design and illustration. I'm a coffee and chocolate lover, and I'm such a fan of videogames and animated movies or tv shows...
But if you want to know more about me I'm sure you'll discover a few things looking at my nail arts, I see my nails as canvas where I draw things I like or represent me. For this first nail art I decided to use some new roses shaped vinyls. Let's see them!

¿A que son preciosos estos vinilos? Me los enviaron desde ELYT (Los tenéis en su web y podéis usar mi código WICKEDFULLMOON para un 10% de descuento en pedidos superiores a 20€) y me enamoré cuando los ví, era necesario usarlos hahaha. A pesar de que no tengo mucha experiencia usando vinilos (solo he usado los de Whats Up Nails anteriormente) he de decir que estos son muy fáciles de usar.

Don't you think the vinyls look beautiful? They were sent to me by ELYT (You have them on their website, and if you like you can use my code WICKEDFULLMOON for a 10% off your order over 20€) and I fell in love as soon as I saw them, I was in need of using them haha. Besides the fact that I don't have many experience using vinyls on my nails (I've only used the ones from Whats Up Nails before) I have to say that these ones are very easy to use.

Lo primero que hice fue aplicar base en todas las uñas y pintar dos de ellas con un esmalte negro cubriente cómo el que os enseño en la foto (Kind of black de Colour Alike). Ahora viene un paso importante: poner top coat en las uñas dónde vayamos a colocar el vinilo, intenté hacerlo sin y se llevo la base al retirar el vinilo y creerme, no queda tan preciso haha.
Después colocamos nuestros dos colores en una esponja de maquillaje, en mi caso negro y rojo, de forma circular y damos toques en la uña como en un degradado normal. Antes de que se seque el esmalte retiramos el vinilo con cuidado.

First of all we need to apply a base coat in all our nails and paint two of them with a opaque black nail polish like the one on the photo (Kind of black from Colour Alike). Next comes a very important step: apply a top coat on the nails where you wanna place the vinyls, I tried to do it without and the base coat came off when I removed the vinyl, believe me it doesn't look right haha.
After that we place our two colours on a makeup sponge, in my case black and red, in a radial shape and we put it on our nails in the same way we'll do with a normal gradient. Remember you have to remove carefully the vinyl before the nail polish dries!

Lo único que nos queda es una capa de top coat para sellar nuestro diseño y hacer que el nail art nos dure más tiempo, en mi caso usé mi amado Poshé, un top coat brillante de secado rápido para las más impacientes ;).

The only thing that is left is to apply a top coat to seal our design and make it last longer on our nails. I used my loved Poshé, a glossy fast drying top coat for those impatients like me ;)
