Halloween Nails 2015 | Haunted Pumpkin

¡Holaaaa!

Hoy os traigo la última manicura de la semana del Reto Halloween Nails 2015 inspirado en calabazas. Mi anterior manicura del reto no fue muy aterradora así que esta vez me apetecía algo más tenebroso y oscuro, ¿queréis verlo?

Today I bring you the latest manicure of the week of Halloween Challenge Nails 2015 inspired by pumpkins. My previous manicure of the challenge was not very frightening so this time I wanted something more gloomy and dark, would you like to see it? 

Para mis anteriores manicuras opté por enseñaros un water marble y una manicura freehand pero esta vez he preferido quedarme en mi "zona de confort" y enseñaros un degradado en tonos grises superponiendole un estampado. Me encanta estampar pero me gusta currarme los fondos ya que la manicura queda mucho más vistosa y trabajada.

For my previous manicures I decided to show you how to do a water marble and a freehand manicure but this time I prefered to stay in my "comfort zone" and show you a gray's gradient and some stamping. I love stamping but I like to spend time with the base because that way the design looks a lot more colorful and elaborate.

• IsaDora Gel Nail Lacquer 249 Turtledove (nueva temporada).

• Esmalte Nº 328 de kiko

• Esmalte Nº 381 de kiko

• Esmalte negro O'Donna para estampar

• Placas BM-222 BM-224 y BM-H07

Adoro estas placas de estampación por la variedad de diseños que tienen y por lo bien que funcionan con cualquier estampador y cualquier esmalte. Los diseños están muy bien marcados y es muy fácil trabajar con ellas.

I love these stamping plates because they have too many variety of designs and because they work very well with all the stampers. The designs looks very defined and it is so easy to work with them.

Para darle un toque más terrorífico, he coloreado los ojos y la sonrisa con el esmalte naranja que usé en el dedo anular, me encanta el efecto que queda!! ^_^

To make it look a little bit more terrifying I have colored the eyes and the smile with orange polish in the ring finger and I'm loving it!! ^_^

Halloween Nails 2015 | Pumpkins and spooky trees

Esta semana para el reto de Marta nos tocan ¡CALABAZAS! Muy típicas de Halloween, ¿Verdad? Lanzo una pregunta random: ¿Sabeis el origen de Halloween? Yo he buscado en Google (el gran sabio google) y es interesante, os animo a que investigueis jajaja. Y ahora, pasemos a lo importante... ¡el diseño!

This week for the Marta  's challenge we have to make pumpkin nails! So ''Halloweeny'' right? Random question: Do you know the origins os Halloween? I googled it (the wise google) and it's so interesting, I encourage you to investigate hahahaha. And now, let's see the design!




Me he decidido por unas calabazas y murciélagos negros sobre un degradado naranja (¿degradado? ¿en serio?). He añadido unos arbolitos tenebrosos jajaja, son muy amigos de las calabazas. Hoy también he usado la estampación, me gusta mucho el resultado, es sencillo de hacer y muy llamativo.

I've decided to make an orange gradient with some black pumpkins and bats (gradient? really?). I've added some spooky trees hahaha, spooky trees and pumpkins are friends. Today I've used again the stamping technique, I love the result, it looks simple and eye catching.

Así es como se ven bajo luz negra, ¡Me encanta! Perfecto para una fiesta de Halloween.

Halloween Nails 2015 | Adopt a ghost!

¡¡¡Por fin es Viernes!!!

Seguro que ya sabéis que las NailAvengers estamos participando en un reto de Halloween creado por Marta. El tema de hoy es... fantasmas! 
La verdad es que no sabía que hacer y pensé: ya deben estar muyyyy asustadas con tanto reto de Halloween así que... ¿por qué no darle un giro al reto con un fantasma que más que susto dé ganas de adoptarlo? ;)

It's finally Friday!! What a looooong week I've had -_-

As you probably know, the Nail Avengers are participating in a Halloween Challenge created by Marta and today's theme is... ghosts!!
The truth is that I wasn't very inspired today, but then I've thought: they must be tired of getting scared with all those Halloween designs so... what if I do a ghost that doesn't scare at all? :)

Pues aquí tenéis a mi pobre fantasma muuuuy triste preguntándose por qué todo el mundo huye de ella con lo bonita que es :(.

Como podéis ver, excepto la parte escrita, el resto es muy fácil de hacer, no tiene grandes detalles.

El fantasma está hecho con esmalte blanco y los detalles en negro así como las letras las he hecho con pintura acrílica negra. No sé si os lo he comentado en alguna ocasión, seguro que alguna de mis compis sí lo ha hecho pero da igual, aprovecho para recordaos que siempre que tengáis que hacer una mani con detalles, olvidaos del esmalte y siempre siempre usad pintura acrílica, lo hace todo mucho más fácil.

This is my little cute ghost who is veeeery sad wondering why does everyone run away from her :(.

As you can see, it's not a complicated design, apart from the writing it has no tiny details.

I used white polish to draw the ghost but all the black details are done with acrylic paint. I can't remember if I've already told you how easy is to work with acrylic paints when you need to draw small things... trust me, it makes a biiiiig difference.

Nail art | Welcome back dark polishes!

¡Wola!

¡Por fin está aquí el otoño! :)  Cómo me gusta esta época del año...vuelvo a rescatar mis esmaltes oscuros del cajón y, sin saber por qué, recupero mi obsesión por los tonos burdeos.
Hoy os traigo esta manicura que, siendo sincera, para mí ha sido un reto por que he utilizado... ¡vinilos! Esos súper villanos que son capaces de arruinar cualquier manicura en cuestión de segundos.

Hey there!

Fall is finally here! :) I love this time of the year... I start using dark tones again and, without any known reason, I get back into my obsession for dark red/burgundy tones.
Today I want to share with you this design that, to be honest, has been a challenge for me because I've used... vinyls! Vinyls are on my super villains list because they are capable to ruin a manicure in seconds.

Me encantó la combinación de un negro con purpurina muuuuy finita y el estampado en acabado crema. Tengo claro que repetiré este diseño en más de una ocasión.

Bueno, empecemos con los esmaltes que he usado. El color negro de base es el IsaDora Velvet Matt Nails 825 Black Caviar. Es negro con unos reflejos brillantes muy bonitos y con acabado mate (¿alguna amante del acabado mate por aquí? Aparte de mí, claro! Jejeje).

En la macro le he puesto un top coat brillante para que veáis bien los reflejitos que os digo y, no sé si opináis como yo pero... si mate es bonito, con acabado brillante ya es impresionante.

El tono burgundy es IsaDora Gel Nail Lacquer 248 Dark Tempation.

I really loved the combination of this shimmery black with the burgundy. I will repeat this design more times for sure!

Well, let's start with the polishes I've used. The black base is IsaDora Velvet Matt Nails 825 Black Caviar. It's a gorgeous shimmery black with a matte finish (say HI if you're a matte lover like me!). 

I've used a glossy top coat to take the macro shot to show you the amazing shimmer and how gorgeous this polish look no matter what finish you choose.

The burgundy one is IsaDora Gel Nail Lacquer 248 Dark Temptation.

Los vinilos son de ELYT (Entre lazos y telas), hay una variedad inmensa de estampados y éstos concretamente me gustaron mucho :).

Bueno, y os preguntaréis... ¿por qué ha sido un reto para ti? Pues por que todo lo que no sea usar el pincel, se convierte en algo complicadísimo para mí jaja. Pero ahí van unos consejitos para las que tengáis alguna dificultad usándolos:
1. No uséis una base peel off debajo del esmalte... arrancaréis todo el diseño cuando estiréis del vinilo.
2. Entre la base y el vinilo, usar un top coat de secado rápido, y dejad que se seque del todo!
3. Aún con el top coat, si veis que el vinilo pega mucho, presionarlo un par de veces contra vuestra mano. Ojo, no os paséis con este paso o entonces no se pegará bien a la uña.
4. Si el esmalte que vais a usar encima del vinilo es muy líquido o muy espeso, mejor usar una esponjita para aplicarlo, como si estuvierais haciendo un gradiente.

Vinyls are from ELYT (Entre lazos y telas), there is a huge variety of them but these one immediately got my attention.

Well, you maybe are wondering ... why it has been a challenge for you? Most of techniques different than freehand are a challenge for me haha. Here are some tips just in case you have difficulty using them too:
1. Do not use a peel off base under the polish... you will take off the entire design when you pull off the vinyl.
2. Between the base and the vinyl, use a fast drying top coat and let dry completely!
3. Even if you let the top coat dry, if you see that the vinyl sticks so much, press it a few times against your hand. Be careful, do not repeat this step too many times or then the vinyls won't stick to your nail.

4. If the polish that you are going to put over the vinyl is too liquid or too thick, better use a sponge to apply it just as if you were making a gradient.
