Nail Art | Leopard print it's a win

Para el post de hoy os traigo un diseño que a mi personalmente me encanta.
Por el nombre del post ya habréis adivinado de que va y, si, el prota de esta manicura es el ¡LEOPARD PRINT!
Sinceramente os diré que este tipo de estampado no me gusta para vestir pero adoro llevarlo en las uñas, lo encuentro siempre un acierto total, jajajaja

Today's post is about a design that I personally adore.
You'll probably have guessed the main theme by the name of the post so,Yes! The guest star for this manicure is the LEOPARD PRINT!
Honestly I don't like to wear clothes with this kind of print but I really like to wear it in my nails, I find it always a good choice! Hahaha
How about you? Do you like it?

El leopard print lo bueno que tiene es que es el diseño perfecto para jugar con los tonos que quieras ademas que es una técnica de freehand bastante fácil.
Para esta ocasión he escogido este fondo turquesa y las manchas en coral, una combinación que para mi gusto queda genial.

What is good about the leopard print is that it's always the perfect design to play with the colors you prefer plus the fact that it's a really easy freehand job.
I've choose a turquoise background and coral for the spots, a combo that looks great.

Y si aún quieres seguir dandole diferentes acabados al look puedes probar con un acabado mate.

And if you want to keep playing with the look you can apply a matte top coat.

1. Base tratamiento, esta es de Masglo 
2. Dos capas de OPI can't find my czechbook
3. Para las manchas coral ESSIE tart deco
4. Dotting tool para aplicar las manchas
5. Pincel finito y pintura negra acrílica para repasar
6. Top Coat, en este caso uno secante de Masglo
7. Top Coat Matte de OPI

Halloween Nails 2015 | Realistic creepy skulls.

Hi everyone!

We are in the final countdown of the Halloween Nails 2015 challenge created by Marta, as Laura Sweetfaction told you on monday the theme of the week are the skulls! I love skulls! Do you want to see the scary design I created for this occasion?

Esta vez me he decantado por un diseño mas realista y tenebroso por lo que los colores predominantes de la manicura son el gris, blanco y negro. Antes de pensar en los detalles ya tenia muy claro que la base tenia que ser esta, jajajaja, se me metió en la cabeza la idea de hacer algo que pareciera la piedra de una tumba o algo así y este fue el resultado. No lo había probado antes y la verdad que me encanta el efecto y es súper fácil de hacer. ¿Os gusta?

This time I opted for a realistic and terrifying design so the predominant colors are grey, black and white. Before knowing with detail how I was going to do the skulls, I had no doubts about the base, hahaha, I wanted a grave stone effect in some way so this is what came out. I didn't try it before but I really love how it looks and how easy was to do it. Do you like it?

These are the tools I used for the nail art:

Después de ponerles base a mis uñas las pinté, con ESSIE "take it outside" y apliqué a su alrededor una barrera de látex MRS. ELYT (ELYT.ES) para hacer mas fácil la limpieza, a continuación con una esponjita de maquillaje hice el efecto piedra aplicando unas gotas de negro (LOLA "jet black") y un blanco roto (OPI "my boyfriend scales walls") como si estuviera haciendo un degradado. Para los detalles usé pintura acrílica y lo sellé todo con un top coat mate "OPI Matte top coat"

After the base coat I painted my nails with ESSIE "take it outside" and then applied a latex barrier MRS. ELYT (ELYT.ES) to make the cleaning more easy. With a makeup sponge I made the stone effect like I was doing a gradient by applying drops of black (LOLA "jet black") and broken white (OPI "my boyfriend scales walls") For the details I've used acrylic paint and at the end "OPI matte top coat" to finish.

Ésta vez para las fotos he jugado con un fondo negro que las hace aun más tenebrosas pero aquí os dejo una con un fondo clarito para apreciar el diseño desde todos sus enfoques.

For the photos this time I decided to play with a black background to add a dark point but here you have one with a lighter background so you can appreciate the design in all the ways.

Halloween Nails 2015 | Nerdy Ghosts BOO!

¡¡Boo!!

Hola a tod@s, como ya sabéis las NA estamos participando en un reto muy terrorífico de Halloween creado por Marta. Esta semana el tema principal son los fantasmas así que cuando empecé a pensar sobre el diseño que iba a hacer, una especie de melancolía friki se apodero de mi y me acorde de BOO ¿Quién mas se acuerda de Boo? Para l@s que no sepáis quien son los protagonistas de mi manicura se trata de unos fantasmitas muy graciosos del videojuego Super Mario Bros. ¿queréis conocerlos?

Boo!!

Hi everybody, as you know this month the NA are entering a scary Halloween challenge created by Marta. This week the main theme are the ghosts so when I started thinking about my design some kind of nerdy inspiration came out and BOO appeared on my mind! Who else know about Boo? For the ones who did not know about the main character of this mani it’s about a really funny ghosts who appear in the Super Mario Bros videogame. Do you want to meet them?

Puede ser que no den mucho miedo pero cara de malos tienen ¿no creéis? jajaja

Me encantaba cuando jugaba a Mario en las pantallas donde salían los Boo verlos como iban de un lado a otro intentando dar miedo.

El dibujo de los fantasmas en si no es muy difícil, solo hay que tener paciencia con los pequeños detalles, yo para captar bien su diseño acabé buscándolo en Internet.

Those ghost are not really scary but they have a “bad guy” face, didn’t they? hahaha
I loved when I was playing Mario and this little boos go around trying to be scary.
For drawing it I did a searching on the internet, they are easy to do, you just have to be patient with the little details.

Para hacer este diseño opte por la técnica “a mano alzada” ya sabéis que es con la que más cómoda me siento. Para empezar siempre es bueno poner una buena base a tus uñas, yo he probado por primera vez esta base tratamiento anti-escamación de Masglo y me ha encantado, aún no me ha dado tiempo de ver bien los efectos sobre la uña pero en cuanto la haya llevado un tiempo ya os contaré.

El color de base para esta manicura es el negro (LOLA 011 jet black), siempre queda bien como fondo para unos fantasmas pero como lo veía un poco soso decidí ponerle unos topos de un tono gris oscuro (KIKO nº381) con la “dotting tool” por la parte mas gruesa, antes de pintar los fantasmas le di una capa de brillo secante de Masglo y así conseguir que la pintura acrílica quede mejor y hasta si es necesario se pueda borrar y por supuesto otra capa mas de brillo para acabar y sellar bien el diseño.

To do this design I choose the “free hand” technique because is the one I feel most comfortable. To start you have to use a good base coat, this one is from Masglo, it’s the first time I use it and at the time I like it a lot, I will tell you in the future.
The base black colour is from LOLA (011 jet black), I didn’t want to use only black so I decided to put dots with a dark grey colour from KIKO (nº381) with the dotting tool, after this I put a top coat and then I started with the Boos. To finish and seal the design I used this Masglo top coat which is fast dry.

¡A Lula parece que le asustan un poquito los Boo! jajaja
La verdad es que me lo pase muy bien haciendo esta manicura y luciéndola aún más así que os animo a tod@s a sumaros a este reto de Halloween Nails 2015.
Y ahora preparaos para gritar de puro miedo con las manicuras que están por venir de mano de las NA.

Nail art | Vintage Flowers.

Hola de nuevo!! Aquí estoy otra vez haciendo uso de mis súper poderes para traeros este nail art. Esta vez he hecho un diseño mas acorde a la época del año que recientemente hemos estrenado ¡el otoño!
Si, ya ha llegado la estación de las lluvias, los jerseys, las botas… Vamos, que ya hay que empezar a abrigarse y a mi personalmente no me entusiasma esa idea, lo único que si me encanta del otoño son sus colores, los colores tierra y los neutros son perfectos para hacerse manicuras chulíssimas. Por eso aquí os dejo este claro ejemplo.

Hi! Here I come again. I’ve made use of my super powers just to bring you this nail art. This time I’ve done a design to match with the season that just started, autumn! I don’t like this season too much but what I really love is the colours that autumn brings us. Earth and neutral colours are perfect to create amazing designs and that’s why today I came with this.

El color para la base de esta manicura es la primera vez que lo uso y el resultado es ¡que me he enamorado totalmente de este tono de OPI! Lo compré por Internet en una página de estas de ofertas rollo “privalia” (no consigo acordarme cual fue) a muy buen precio.
Como ya os he comentado me encantan los colores neutros así que no dude en comprarlo y aun más me gustó su nombre “My boyfriend scales walls” jajajaja ¡si! ¡A mi novio le encanta escalar!

The colour for the base is from OPI, is the first time I use it but I totally fell in love with this shade. As I told you before, I really love neutral colours so I didn’t doubt buying it, but what likes me the most of this polish is the name “My boyfriend scales walls” Yes! My boyfriend does wall climbing! hahaha

Finalmente vamos con los materiales que he usado. Ya sabéis que la técnica que mejor se me da es dibujar a mano alzada así que lo más importante para crear una manicura de este estilo es un pincel súper fino y pintura acrílica. Para conseguir los diferentes tonos de las flores he mezclado estos colores que veis en la foto con blanco o entre si, se me paso hacerle la foto al verde de las hojas pero es de Americana igual que los demás.
Y acordaros siempre de poner base y top coat para que vuestras uñas no se tiñan y vuestras manicuras duren más y se vean más bonitas.

Finally here you have the materials you will need to do a design like this. As you know my favourite technique is the freehand so the most important to make it easy is the thin brush and the acrylic paint. To reach the different kind of shades I’ve mixed the colours on the photo with white or together, I just forgot to put on the photo the green colour for the leafs but is from Americana too.
Remember to use a base and top coat to protect your nails and your design will look prettier.

Nail art | Simple but lovely.

¡¡Hola a tod@s!!

Me presento, soy Mireia (@mireieta_nails) y os tengo que confesar que es mi primera vez en este mundillo de los blogs pero estoy tan encantada con esta iniciativa que hemos emprendido las Nail Avengers que, ¡me voy a lanzar a ello con toda mi ilusión!
Voy a empezar hablándoos un poco de mi, aunque si queréis saber más cositas solo tenéis que ir al apartado About Us donde nos conocerás a todas un poco más. Me defino como una chica alegre y espontánea y eso seguro que lo vais a ver reflejado en mis manicuras, soy enfermera de vocación y me encanta mi trabajo, solo tiene un pequeño inconveniente… ¡¡No puedo ir al curro con las uñas pintadas!!
En mi tiempo libre me encanta estar con mi perrita Lula (que ya la conoceréis hoy mismo en este post), pintarme las uñas y ¡tener charlas interminables con las NA!

Hi everybody!!

My name is Mireia (@mireieta_nails) and I have to confess that it’s my very first time in the blogging world but I’m so happy about this new initiative that we, the Nail Avengers, made and I’m going to try my best full of illusion!
I want to start talking a little bit about me (you can click in About us if you want to know more of each one of us) I define myself as a happy and spontaneous girl and I'm sure you will see it reflected on my designs, I work as a nurse and I love my job but there’s a little handicap… I can’t wear nail polish at work!!
I spend my free time with my dog friend Lula (you will meet her on this post), painting my nails and having endless talks with the NA!

Para este primer post os voy a enseñar un nail art sencillo pero a la vez encantador! Lo que se me da mejor es pintar a mano alzada, me encanta coger el pincel y poder crear lo que se me ocurra en las uñas y esta ha sido mi última creación así que voy a contaros un poco como la he llevado a cabo.

On this first post I’m going to show you my last creation, a simple but lovely nail art. I usually do my designs freehand because I love picking my brush and creating on my nails whatever it comes to my mind, so let’s talk about how I did this design.

Mi mejor consejo para las manicuras a mano alzada es que uséis pintura acrílica, hará que sea más fácil de aplicar con el pincel fino que si lo hiciéramos con esmalte. La pintura que uso yo es de la marca Americana que la verdad es que van genial, tanto la pintura como los pinceles los compro en cualquier droguería o tienda especializada en bellas artes y¡ambas cosas salen muy bien de precio!

My best advice if you want to do freehand is to use acrylic paint, if you use it instead of nail polish it will be easier to apply with the brush. The brand I use is Americana and it works really good, I usually buy the acrylic paints and the tiny brushes in any drugstore or art supplies shop, the prices there are much more affordable!

Y para acabar voy a hablaros de los esmaltes que he usado (de izquierda a derecha):

• China Glaze “I’m not lion” de la colección Safari es un glitter dorado perfecto. Este en concreto lo compre a través de la web de Maquillalia.
• Colour Alike colección KRK 520, lo vi en la web de ELYT (entre lazos y telas) y me enamoré al instante, queda bien con todo y la fórmula es amor.
• L’Oreal Color Riche “so chic foxy”, este lo compre en una perfumería de mi barrio, es un color que puede no gustar a simple vista pero es que a mi los tonos tierra  me encantan.
• Top Coat de Sephora “Gel Effect”, no es el que uso normalmente pero lo he estado probando y el efecto gel que deja me convence bastante.

And finally I'm going to talk about the polishes that I used (left to right):

• China Glaze " I 'm not lion" of the Safari collection, is a perfect golden glitter. This one is from the online store Maquillalia.
• Colour Alike collection KRK 520, I saw it on the website ELYT and I fell in love instantly, goes with anything and the formula is lovely.
• L'Oreal Color Riche "so chic foxy " I bought this in a perfumery in my neighborhood , it's a color that may not appeal to the naked eye but I just love earth tones.
• Sephora's Top Coat "Gel Effect ," which is not my usual top coat, but I've been testing it and the gel effect it leaves on the nails is quite convincing.

Bueno chic@s y esto es todo por hoy, me despido con esta foto donde os presento a LULA, mi perrita adorada, es de raza pug de color negro y tiene 5 años, le encanta seguirme allí donde voy así que en más de una foto como esta os la encontrareis. Las NA somos unas grandes amantes de los animales, todas tenemos mascotas así que seguro que ya las iréis conociendo por aquí.
